The docs checked the X-ray images yesterday, he says I don't need surgery, there is no fracture, just a swollen knee and ankle, the MX boots did their job, I just need to take pills for a few days and I will be alright, in 2 or 3 weeks I will be back on the saddle again.

Yep, the stock light sucks, I need surgery, so I guess I will be off the road for a while, enough time to upgrade the lights.

I talked with the girl's father, she's fine, just a couple of bruises, nothing serious, we are alright. The girl was walking on that road because the bus skipped her stop, she had to walk back to her stop.

    Had a bad crash yesterday
Hey gang, my luck is at it again, had a bad crash yesterday at night, hit a pedestrian with the handlebar, little girl in her late teens looked like, I believe she just got bruises, she was walking on the road on the inside of a close twisty, it was on a road without public lights, I didn't see her until i was a meter or less from her, couldn't even hit the brakes, I managed to lean the bike a bit the opposite way, but the right handlebar cought her shoulder and knocked her down, she hit her head when she fell down, she was conscious but in pain, she was able to move her arm and I couldn't see blood, hopefully she just got bruises and nothing serious.
After the crash my instinct was to secure the zone, the adrenaline rush helped me drag the bike to the side of the road to avoid another crash, because I hit her with the handlebar the bike fell down to the left lane and crushed my left leg, I believe I dislocated my knee, I will have X rays today and see how it looks.
The bike got a scratch on the tank, both plastic tank air scoops are broken, and the forks are out of alignment, nothing serious, that bike is a tank!!.

An obscure band from Spain, don't worry about the lyrics, it's nonsense.

You are the fancy kind, ain't you, lol. I have never tried oyster, I'll give it a try next time I'm near the ocean.
How's the rum there?, I remember rum being good on some of the caribean islands, but can't remember which one.

damn bro, that's crazy!. Good to know that you and your family are ok, those situations really open your ayes ans make you appreciate the important things in your life. I've gone through a similar situation, not life threatening though, and no one to blame but me, lol. After working as an IT consultant for a decade I got fed up of it, couldn't stand my a-hole boss, and got bored of achieving meaningless goals at work (middle age crisis anyone?, lol), so I decided that it was enough and quit my job to start my own business, a motorcycle boutique, selling motorcycle accessories as well as my own designed safety clothes, I made all the research and played with the numbers and the business looked promising, I had some money saved and my wife had a good job, so we where doing supposed to be fine until the business got traction, I knocked some doors and found an investing partner that was willing to put some dough to lunch the business. A few months later when we had everything ready to stock the inventory, lease the building, and everything else, the investing partner told me that he lost a bunch of money on another business and no longer could he invest on this one!, from there on everything went  down the toilet, I started knocking doors at the banks and none of them wanted to invest without a warranty like a property, being a rent slave, I couldn't raise the money to open the store. A few months later my wife got fired, she worked for a government agency, after the presidential change a lot of the staff got the boot for political reasons, I couldn't find a job that would pay half the bills, so there we where, unemployed, with an empty bank account, $5 in the pocket, and lots of bills to pay!. We put the cars, motorcycles, and a lot of other stuff on sale, but nothing got sold!, looks like everyone is broke, lol, so we had to go to the pawn shop and got peanuts for a treadmill, a weed-whacker, and a welding machine, but at least we got the fridge stocked.
We started doing freelance work, a job here and there, we have been doing that since then, several months later and we are half way from recovery but making progress, I got a long term consulting deal that pays well, she has been having a good flow of jobs here and there, so we are ok. After those crazy days of uncertainty and being dirt broke, we learned what things really matter in life, so hang in there and be patient until things get back to where they used to be, life is boring without a challenge anyway, lol.
