After stator upgrade...ground?Is it necessary or recommended to upgrade the ground to a more beefy wire after stator upgrade?
it so is it necessary to rerun all of the grounds? I think I have 2, one running to engine and one on frame behind battery box. 10g or 8g wire?
on a similar note, rerun a + to starter? 8g?

Black wire from 7 pole rectifierit says run black wire to switched 12v. I have a black and green coming from brake and then from the actual kill switch a black and white. Does it matter which "switch" I tie into? Or should it for sure be tied into the black and white from the actual kill switch?
From brake
From actual kill switch...
thanks on advance this this is literally my last wire so I am pretty stoked...

If I use these two diagrams,
And
It makes it a bit different.
maybe I didn't mention or if it's important that it's originally a 50cc wire loom but I have swapped a 150 into it...

thank you, i have to run at least on other wire to rectifier. My current status are the 4 wires from original rectifier and what to connect to the 7 wire rectifier (the other 4). I have looked at so many wiring schematics and some contradict each other. So any real experience I would love some feedback!
Here are the original wires going into 4 wire rectifier...
and here are the wires on the new 7 wire...
so I know 3 yellows to to new stator. The other plug has a red black white and green. Those need to attach to the current green yellow white and red. So I BELIEVE
Current wires New rectifier plug
Green To Green
white To. White
red To Red
? Black
yellow (to one of the yellows coming from stator)
run 2 more wires from stator to rectifier plug
for the black I have read to attach to switched power source
and
also read to attach straight to 12v
and
some have said connect to ground
and
some have said leave it unconnected..
so someone has to be right :)
i should also mention there was a wire behind the old rectifier where it connected to the frame, so assume this is just a simple ground as well...
any help appreciated!!! REALLY want to get her up and going again after my 150 build and BBK taida, that I purchased from Dan!

Bubsoxs, I am going from 8 to 11 (AC) but you are correct, my original rectifier had a male end and the new rectifier is female, so now to hook up my 7 pole they are both female. BUT I have done lots of wiring and have lots of connectors so at least that part is easy... :-)
still looking for some help if anyone is following...

Guys, I posted a comment on one of dans upgrade posts (11 pole), hoping he sees it (its older) or if you guys want to venture over, its about upgrading the rectifier from a 4 pole to 7 pole. I have a few wire questions and pictures... AND conflicting information when I google it and read through other threads...

sonofthehelmet added a post in a topic GY6 150cc - How to upgrade to an 11 pole stator
Hey Dan, was watching the video in hopes of seeing some wiring info, but didn't so am going to see if you can help me out on this topic. Had a 4 pin, originally I had a 4 pin rectifier ( green/ground, yellow and white to stator (right?), and red to 12v. see pic
The original harness that connected to 8 pole stator. green ground, yellow white to rectifier (see below)
below my new 7 pole rectifier: white and yellow and a third wire I need to run goes to the 3 yellows (I believe). green to ground. red to 12v. white? and black (some say to 12v switched, some say ground, some have said wire direct to 12v) the red wire is behind the green...
and the new 11 pole: white pink and yellow to y,y,y of rectifier, green to ground.
would love some help here
am I missing something? It LOOKS as though you did the same but video didn't specifically go into that detail...

This may be along with cito's question as well. I upgraded from a 50 to 150 and the stator I have runs 4 wires while my original plug has 3 (added a pink) can I just switch out the connector and run another wire up? or is it much more complicated than what I am thinking.

yes, the dreaded law of physics. lol. I see so many others with a gy6 49cc, BBK and they are getting more than 38mph, so I assume its just the rpms, since none were very explicit about changing gears. I could go up in sliders or rollers but then she may just be sluggish off the start. I guess I am trying to squeeze what I can out of it before I finish up welding the bracket and putting on my 150 that I built. That day cant come soon enough... Thanks...
