OMG u the man!!

I still have my concert t-shirt from the Animals tour in 70 something. was second to none at Cleveland Muni Stadium, they opened the show by buzzing the stadium with a Boeing 707 fliying so low I could read the serial number off it..  the Pilot paid some heavy fines..

I loves me some Funkadelic! Back in the mid-sixies, our local shuck and jive/soul station,WBLK, would spend the last hour of programming (7- 8pm!) with the dj "Brother Love" who would play"underground music". That was my introduction to artists like Frank Zappa and  The Mothers of Invention, Steppenwolf, and Jimi Hendrix. Tonights selection is a take on a Zappa tune, by the ever popular West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band.

Little story. I had the "Kipper" in town and took him to Dallas alley and we strolled by this Cantina and there was this guy on a stool in the corner of the outdoor patio just tearing up his guitar and we stopped cold and listened, I didn't know who he was at the time until I got home later.. damn a fan for life..

An obscure band from Spain, don't worry about the lyrics, it's nonsense.

From the family Canadian vacation in 68 I think, a top 40 station played this all day.

And on this day 43 years ago, shorty after 7:pm the Edmond Fitzgerald went down. On her way to Cleveland she was big news around here...

Growing up just off Lake Erie the lake effect sky's in the fall and winter are like no other, they don't call them the Witches of November for nothing.
