quick question regarding the NIBBI CVK26:

  • What is this line for? (under the throttle linkage)

Thanks!

When I first got these in stock, I was curious myself and shot off an email asking. This is the response I got:

Hi,Daniel,

Hope you have been good days with your parents,
I have talk with our techicist again, so he told me about the tube of the cvk 26 what you asked me before.
The attachment is a picture

our new CVK26 carburetor has the same interior structure with Mikuni25 carburetor, they looks similarly. It is not really belong to CVK carburetor, it is Nibbi CVK carburetor, we take it as a CVK carburetor. The tube you asked me before that it is a pressure pipe, the work theory should be same as the Mikuni25. It connect to the muffler through a cycle deceive so that the gas that exhausted by the muffler will go into the tube and then transfer to the carburetor through the cycle deceive, in order to make the exhaust to reach the standar.

Hope this can resolve your question.

Best Regard

i currently use this carb on my GY6 swapped scooter and it works absolutely great. compared to the stock carb i noticed a big increase in throttle response, top end power and fuel economy, and it was very easy to tune. mine came with a #110 main jet, which was too rich, so i put in a #106, and it was like night and day. this carb on even a stock 157qmj engine is a great upgrade, and sets you up for any future upgrades like a 58.5mm BBK or even a 61mm BBK.

Well, I just hooked that tube up to the vacuum system and all seems fine (other than I'm running a #118 instead of the #110 supplied with the carb). Perhaps most people just block that tube off?

FWIW, their so-called "cycle deceive" system looks suspiciously like our "vapor canister"...

Or are they really meaning to say it should hook up to our PAIR system?

One final thing: what the heck is a Mikuni 25?

I searched the web and only found Mikuni 24 or 26...
